WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO ALLIANCE SPINE AND PAIN CENTERS? WHAT ISSUES DID YOU NEED TO BE RESOLVED?

Other than a knee injury from a previous fall off a ladder, I have never been unhealthy or seriously sick in my life! However, that status changed when I injured myself while moving across town in the summer of 2021. I don’t exactly know how–I may have picked up something that was too heavy or bent or twisted the wrong way.

After injuring myself during the move, my right side—from my waist to my toes—was killing me! I was in a great deal of pain, and I admit I don’t take pain well! During this time in pain, I couldn’t do normal activities like walk my dog, or even drive much. My wife had to help me do many daily tasks.

At first, I saw an orthopedist who diagnosed me with sciatica and treated me with Tramadol and Gabapentin, prescribed medicines to help with the pain. After some time, I stopped using those medications due to some of their unpleasant side effects. A doctor recommended I see a pain specialist at Alliance Spine and Pain Centers for a steroid injection, which brought me to Dr. Scott Masson at the practice’s Roswell location.

Dr. Masson recommended epidural injections for my treatment plan. After the first epidural injection, it took 3-4 days to feel relief. Now I have completed 3 shots and I’ve forgotten that I ever had any pain at all! The last day I got a shot was the last day I had any pain!

Dr. Masson was honest and straightforward. He is awfully nice, which is hard to find these days!
