Alliance Spine and Pain Centers concluded 2024 by celebrating the outstanding contributions of our top performers through the presentation of our annual Alliance Core Values Awards. These individuals exemplify our commitment to Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Excellence, and Service, consistently going above and beyond.
Every year, we are inspired by numerous deserving nominees who share remarkable stories of employees making significant contributions to Alliance and its patients. Additionally, we pay tribute to our Provider of the Year and an individual who embodies many, if not all, of our Core Values with the Chairman’s Award.
We take immense pride in unveiling the recipients of this year’s 9th Annual Alliance Core Value Awards. Learn more about each awardee and the reasons behind their well-deserved recognition!
The Compassion Award recipient consistently demonstrates sympathy and concern for the misfortunes of others along with a strong desire to help. They’re often described as selfless, kind, sensitive, and determined to alleviate or reduce the suffering of patients and co-workers.
Based on the above characteristics, Rosemary Adler, a nurse at our Marietta location, was chosen as the Compassion Award recipient.
Here’s why:
“Rosemary Adler always makes everyone feel at home. She treats every patient, coworker, and provider feel as if they are part of her family.
She goes above and beyond to make sure her patients feel safe and prepared for their procedure. The time, dedication, and personalized treatment Rosemary gives patients is rare in today’s settings.”
Rosemary truly embodies the essence of why our care team is unparalleled. Thank you for contributing to making Alliance a beacon of compassion and solace for our patients!
The recipient of the Respect Award demonstrates they value their co-workers and patients by honoring their personal rights, opinions, and dignity. They’re also willing to listen and learn from others as well as lead by example while consistently treating others as they would like to be treated, regardless of their views, and always making themselves accessible to others.
This year, Alliance physician Dr. Andrew Kilday from our Covington, Lawrenceville, and Sandy Springs locations won the Respect Award.
Here’s why:
“Any time a physician joins a company or works with staff for the first time, they are faced with a unique challenge. Aside from providing good patient care, the incoming physician has to establish that he or she is ultimately responsible for the patient, and ready to make the decisions and lead the staff to ensure the best outcome. This doesn’t always come across the right way, yet Dr Kilday has accomplished this.
Dr. Kilday has been acknowledged by multiple staff members at multiple locations as a trusted leader that shows immense respect for the staff he works with, and the jobs that they do. He in return has earned their complete respect.
He is a mentor and a role model.
Dr Kilday is compassionate & empathetic, always puts the patient’s health first, and his sincere concern for their emotional and physical needs comes through in every interaction.”
Thank you, Dr. Kilday, for acting with such respect in all your work!
The Integrity Award recipient always does the right thing, even when no one else is looking. They’re also honest, ethical, have strong moral principles, and their actions consistently reflect their words. Lastly, they’re also trusted and relied upon by co-workers and patients as someone willing and able to help.
This year, Erin Sherrod, Alliance’s Senior Payer Enrollment & Credentialing Manager, received the Integrity award.
Here’s why:
“For the past six years, Erin has vetted every new provider and presented them to the Piedmont Clinic and the payors. She has also built a department and a team that is the model of integrity.
Erin is personable, easy to work with, and accessible. She frequently steps up to see where she can provide assistance to others.
It’s easy to see that she loves her job and company, and it shows in her work and attitude.”
Thank you, Erin, for demonstrating integrity each and every day!
The recipient of the Excellence Award continually strives to surpass ordinary standards and consistently go above and beyond their normal duties. The Excellence Award winner also constantly seeks to improve their performance through collaboration and being innovative as well as set specific goals before taking steps to achieve them.
This year, Deneen Dumey, the Clinic Lead at Alliance’s Dallas location, was chosen as the Excellence award winner.
Here’s why:
“Deneen always goes above and beyond. She listens to what patients say and goes the extra mile to make sure they walk out of the office with peace. Patients request Deneen because they know she will provide excellent care.
Along with amazing patient care, Deneen helps providers with anything needed, helps train new employees, and always maintains a positive attitude.
Although Deneen normally works in the clinic, she also works with the ASC staff because when the team needs help with something, Deneen is more than happy to be that person.”
Deneen, we extend our sincere gratitude to you for inspiring excellence in everything you undertake!
The recipient of the Service Award understands we are in business for one reason – to help patients overcome pain. The Service Award winner is someone who directly touches patients while supporting the center and, ultimately, the patient. The Service winner also continually seeks to understand the needs of those around them while being accountable, empathetic, customer-focused, and resourceful.
This year, Leslie Young, Clinical Review Manager of our Conyers and Covington locations, won the Service Award.
Here’s why:
“When I think of service, the first thing to come to mind is someone who makes their mission to not only solve problems but also pave the road for significant improvement in the lives of our patients going forward. Leslie Young encompasses all those things and more.
Leslie excels and thrives in all arenas - adapting and improving work processes as she goes. Her main goal is to provide the best possible care for our patients.
She consistently demonstrates a positive attitude
Leslie is nothing short of impressive, determined - driven to make our patients' experience one that gives them pain relief and comfort in knowing they are not alone. She has gained the confidence and trust of her peers, providers, and patients alike.”
Congratulations, Leslie, on this well-deserved honor!
The recipient of the Provider Award is the CRNA, PA, nurse practitioner, or physician who most embodies all of our core values. This person lives by these values, thus setting an example for others to do the same. Their behavior is consistent, inspirational, and recognized by both patients and employees.
Alliance physician, Dr. Mark Stewart from our Augusta location, was selected as the Provider of the Year.
Here’s why:
“At the center of our busy Augusta clinic is Dr. Stewart. He provides as much compassion and respect to his staff as he does to his patients. In the evening you can often find Dr. Stewart in his office finishing up his notes because every minute of his time throughout the long day was spent being attentive to patients and staff. He does this because he cares deeply about his patients and his staff. If you know Dr. Stewart, then you know his reaction when you recognize his commitment to service. He will humbly respond by saying, “I am blessed.”
Dr. Stewart’s kindness is unmatched. His bedside manner with patients is outstanding. He treats staff like family.
He’s an amazing mentor and a friend to all. He’s always ready and willing to teach anytime there’s a question or opportunity.
Dr. Stewart genuinely wants to learn all he can about his patients - and never gives up on patients or staff, no matter what the situation.”
The Chairman’s Award is given to the employee who best exemplifies all of the Core Values by providing exceptional patient care and consistently being an outstanding employee and colleague.
This year’s Chairman’s Award goes to Carli Davis, the Regional Administrator/Director of Anesthesia.
Here’s why:
Carli Davis always looks for the good.
“Since being asked to make nurse sedation available across the company, Carli has worked with many of our employees at every location. In this endeavor, she identified people and processes that were working well. Once identified, Carli shared those good people or processes with others which allowed the good the spread. She is an exceptional asset to Alliance.”
Carli is smart, professional, accessible, thorough, and a pleasure with whom to work. She truly cares about the practice and it shows in all of her actions.
ALLIANCE IS PROUD TO HONOR OUR 2024 ALLIANCE CORE VALUES AWARD WINNERS! CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN AND THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR PRACTICE.
