Mark Stewart, MD, is a reputable anesthesiologist at Alliance Spine & Pain, serving the Augusta, Georgia, office. With over 30 years of experience in anesthesiology and pain management, Dr. Stewart shares his passion for providing health care with his team.
He specializes in minimally invasive pain relief, including epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency treatments, sympathetic nerve blocks, facet blocks, sacroiliac blocks, peripheral nerve blocks, and many others.
Dr. Stewart began his education at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. He continued his training at the same medical school, completing his residency in anesthesiology in 1989 and a fellowship in pain management in 2006. He is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
He is also a member of the Richmond County Medical Society, the Medical Association of Georgia, the Georgia Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the International Spine Intervention Society.
Dr. Stewart enjoys participating in research, contributing to many projects and multiple presentations at medical conferences, such as “The Jehovah’s Witness in Anesthesia” and “Neuropathic Pain: History, Current Concepts, and New Horizons.”
Dr. Stewart prioritizes providing personalized care to his patients needing pain management. He looks forward to getting to know new patients in and around Augusta and continuing to work alongside the Alliance Spine & Pain team.
